Abstract (English):
Poppet columns are widely used in chemical, petrochemical and related industries. They are the main equipment for the processes of gas absorption and rectification of liquid mixtures. The size and metal content of these devices largely depends on the efficiency of the plates, which in turn is determined by the structure of the gas and vapor-liquid layers. At intensive modes of operation of devices which are usually realized in practice, there are inhomogeneous two-phase layers including large formations. They carry with them large volumes of gas (steam) with insufficient contact with the liquid. This negatively affects the efficiency of the plates. A method for improving the structure of gas-liquid layers by placing a movable ball nozzle on the plate plane is proposed.
