In the traditional flow allocation procedure, each analysis zone is represented by a single point at its geometric center, which is connected to the network by multiple connectors. The research results show that different connection schemes can lead to changes in the estimated volume and total travel time. In addition, different connector schemes can change the priority of network development pro-jects. Due to the numerous possible scenarios for connector schemes, finding the optimal scheme is very difficult. The main objective of this study is to propose an alternative approach and proper solu-tion algorithms to improve the accuracy of the flow allocation results
